More power generation is needed from alternative sources. Bigger/taller wind power is where it is going. Towers have now reached 500 feet tall! Such a large structure requires onsite construction, at least for the bottom half. 3D-Admix™ can make in-situ concrete much more practical – and far less expensive – than was ever possible before! The more reinforcing, the better, because that is how a light, automated slip former can climb to the top.
There already are GPS-controlled attachments for excavators. Combine this with a concrete placement system, inline-dosed with some 3D-Admix™ modifier, and now you can retire a primitive, wasteful, labor-intensive, and work-comp-plagued process – that has not really changed over the last 100 years.
